What It Really Looks Like to Enter a "Season of No": Boundaries, Hard Conversations & Self-Doubt
$100k Healer Inner Circle
At the end of last year, I did a month-by-month review of what brought me stress vs. what brought me joy. I literally laid it out visually — January: Stress/Joy, February: Stress/Joy — all the way through December.
And the pattern was unmistakable: the biggest source of stress, across nearly every single month, was interpersonal dynamics.
It wasn’t business.
It was people.
More specifically, it was the way I had been engaging with people.
I realized I was constantly negotiating between seen as a “good friend” and honoring my own bandwidth and preferences.
More often than not, I defaulted to what felt easiest in the short-term: agreeability, silence, overgiving.
But over time, all those micro-compromises created a quiet resentment.
Not because anyone else was doing anything wrong.
But because I was no longer showing up in a way that honored me.
So I started asking the hard questions. And from there, my Season of No began.
In this behind-the-scenes post for my inner circle, I’m sharing the real, messy process of entering my “Season of No.”
And to be clear: this is not a “how-to” post. In fact- it is not at all prescriptive.
I’m just sharing in real time what its been like to start saying no to relationships, dynamics, and default ways of connecting that no longer serve the version of me I’m becoming.
From navigating the guilt of disappointing others to dealing with the fear of being seen as “mean” or “selfish,” I’m opening up about the emotional weight that comes with choosing intentional connecting instead of over-capacitating.
If you’ve been feeling overstretched, emotionally drained, or just quietly resentful inside certain interpersonal dynamics, this episode is your permission slip to reimagine what support and alignment can look like.
In this episode, I’m sharing:
The two filter questions I’m using to renegotiate friendships during this season
What’s made this process surprisingly difficult (and why it’s still worth it)
How I’m navigating hard conversations as someone who tends to avoid conflict
Press play for a real-time, behind-the-scenes look at how I’m re-organizing my personal life to align with my business goals.
