I’m playing around with filming some “week in the life vlogs” to give you a peek of what it actually looks like to be a digital nomad.
I filmed this little vlog during my last few days in Tivat, Montenegro to show you the the slower, more ordinary rhythms that come with living and working abroad.
We’ve got slow mornings by the bay, journaling with coffee, afternoons of client calls, picking up boyfriends everywhere, little walks through the park. nothing adventurous, nothing epic — just the ordinary routines of entrepreneur life abroad.
I used to think travel had to mean adventure — climbing mountains, crossing borders, ticking off must-see lists.
But lately, I’ve found myself falling in love with a different kind of travel: the quiet kind. The kind that’s really just ordinary life… lived in extraordinary places.
These past few days in Tivat, Montenegro have been exactly that.
Mornings started at Porto Montenegro — journaling with an espresso by the bay, reading Elizabeth Gilbert’s new book, and soaking in the slow rhythm of yacht club cafés.
I worked from my laptop in little spots around town, sometimes finding flow, sometimes packing it all up when the Wi-Fi glitched and technology refused to cooperate. I walked everywhere instead of renting a scooter, happy for the slower pace and extra steps.
Afternoons were spent back at my kitchen-table office, where I got to be in my happy place: in my zoom room with clients. Those sessions always ground me — conversations about transitions, priorities, and small wins happening alongside the everyday rhythm of my own week
On my last day, I discovered a park I wish I’d found sooner. And sometimes that’s the way it goes — you notice the gems right before leaving. And the fact that you are leaving- makes it all that make sweeter.
Filming this vlog gave me something unexpected, too. Documenting the tiny details helped me to see it all from a different perspective. To literally see my own life from different eyes. To notice the “magic in the mundane” as one of my clients would say. To romanticize the everyday moments. . Nothing epic happened, and yet — it all felt meaningful.
So here’s a little window into those days — quiet, imperfect, and so special in their own way.
