“I still felt like I didn’t know what I was doing. Some days I’d post and go viral, and other days it was crickets. I knew I needed a better way.
Turns out…. “winging it” is not an effective content strategy
During my monthly planning sessions with my business clients, I had a moment of panic. Shoot. I haven’t mastered my content platforms yet.
In October I decided to take Q4 off Instagram to go all-in on LinkedIn and Substack. I wanted to stop spreading myself so thin and actually develop mastery of the platform.
But we were already 60 days into the quarter, and I didn’t feel confident. I’d taken a LinkedIn branding course and I’d been posting consistently, but it still felt like throwing spaghetti at the wall.
Some posts would pop off, others would flop. And I realized:
I’m still at the mercy of the algorithm… and my emotions.
That back-and-forth uncertainty — “Should I post again? But no one liked yesterday’s post” — is not the energy I want in my business.
So, I made the decision to build a true content strategy: one that removes emotional decision-making, gives me measurable goals, and helps me think like a CEO.
And now I’m sharing the full behind-the-scenes breakdown with you.
